Preparation before driving
Children’s safety
Children are not allowed to ride the vehicle
without the attendance of an adult. Please select
an appropriate child restraint system according
to the body size of the child.
● Before driving, be sure to get the child
restrained by the child restraint system,
otherwise in the event of an accident or
emergency stop, the child may be
seriously injured.
● Prevent the child from getting off the child
restraint system and standing on the floor
during driving.
● Prevent the child from getting off the child
restraint system and kneeling on the seat
during driving.
Babies and infants
A child restraint system shall be used for baby
passengers. Please select an appropriate child
restraint system, and install and use it as per the
instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Babies and infants need special protection,
and for them, the onboard seat belts are not
suitable, and appropriate child restraint
systems should be used.
Elder children
The elder children may be protected by the seat
belt directly, and if the upper part of the seat is
located on or too close to the child’s face or
neck, a booster seat (available on the market)
which is compatible with the vehicle seat can be
installed to raise the child so that the upper part
of the seat belt just crosses the middle of the
shoulder and the lower part is relatively lowered
to the hip.
Children with a height greater than 1.5m can be
protected by the seat belt directly, without the
need to use a child safety seat.
Recommendations for pregnant women and
special occupants
Pregnant women
For a pregnant woman, the best way to protect
her and her fetus is to fasten the seat belt
properly during driving or riding, with the lap belt
across the hip as low as possible.
Before driving the vehicle, move the seat
backward as far as possible provided a good
vehicle control is ensured.
During each prenatal examination, ask the
doctor for suggestions if the healthy condition
still allows for driving.
When taking the front passenger’s seat, it is also
recommended to move the seat backward as far
as possible to minimize the risk of injury by
airbag if deployed.
