Preparation before driving
Conditions for airbag to deploy
Conditions for airbag to deploy include:
● Power supply is normal. If the power supply
of the vehicle is turned off before the
collision, the airbag cannot be inflated for
deploying.
● The collision of vehicle is in the same
direction of deceleration detected by the
impact sensor;
● The deceleration detected by the sensor
meets the airbag deployment conditions.
● The deployment of the airbag depends
only on the vehicle deceleration of
corresponding direction caused by
collision, and is unrelated with degree of
deformation and damage of vehicle and
the degree of personal injury after the
collision.
● The national crash test is such that the
vehicle runs to a non-deformable
stationary barrier at a speed of 50km/h
and the front airbag deploys.
Conditions in which airbag may not deploy
The frontal airbag, side airbag* and side curtain
airbag* may not deploy in the following cases:
① rear-end collision by another vehicle or rear-
