Precautions for use of child restraint system
It is required to use an appropriate child restraint
system for babies during driving, otherwise,
serious or fatal injuries may be caused.
Be sure to purchase a child restraint system that
is suitable for your child and vehicle.
When selecting a child restraint system, make
the child seated in it and check all adjustment
functions to confirm that it is suitable for the
child.
Some kinds of child restraint systems may be
unable to be installed to the vehicle correctly.
Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions to
install and use the child restraint system.
Install the child restraint system on either of the
two outboard rear seats, as it is proved from
accident statistics that it is safer for a child to sit
in the rear seat than in the front seat.
Before adjusting a child restraint system, adjust
the rear seat back to be vertical and move the
front seat forwards as appropriate to ensure that
there is enough space available in the rear for
installing the child restraint system.
WARNING
In addition to the technical specification in
this Manual, the installation and use of
child safety seats shall also be subject to
local regulations. The specifications in this
manual are applicable to countries or
regions where no special provisions are
made for installation and use of child
safety seats. For countries or regions
which have adopted special provisions for
the installation and use of child safety
seats, such special provisions shall apply
if conflict with the technical specifications
herein is involved.
If no child safety seat is installed at the
appropriate seating position or the child
safety seat installed is inappropriate, the
child may not be fully protected and may
be serious injured or even killed in the
event of accident, emergency braking or
sudden turning.
