A.4 Unmanned Neutron Detection
For unmanned measurements involving un-moderated neutron sources, a 30 cm × 30 cm ×
15 cm PMMA phantom (Figure 240, p. 243) or equivalent must be placed between the source
and the detector in the FLIR identiFINDER R300 (Figure 238, p. 241) in order to provide ad-
equate moderation of fast neutrons and to simulate ield operation instructions in section
3.2.2, p. 71.
