Appendix A: Image Pasting
Definium 5000 X-Ray System 5197809-1EN Rev. 4 (13 February 2008) A-2
Operator Manual © 2008 General Electric Company. All rights reserved.
Overview
Image Pasting allows x-ray imaging of patient anatomy, such as spine and legs, that are larger than the
detector’s 41cm field of view. Previously, in film or CR, this was accomplished by the use of a “long”
cassette.
The Definium 5000 digitally pastes 2-5 overlapping exposures together to form a single image.
