6 Tube-collimator assembly
Contains the x-ray tube, collimator, and controls. The tube-collimator assembly is able to
move to adjust the SID between the tube and detector.

(p. 3-8) for more information about system movement
controls from the console screen.
7 Control panel
Allows control of the system position and exam techniques (generator). Buttons on the
control panel are duplicated on the image receptor handle.

8 Automatic collimator
Refer to Automatic Collimator
(p. 3-18) for more information.
9 Safety light beams
The two photocell lights on the swivel arm protect the patient and operator from system
movement by either slowing or stopping movement when the lights are interrupted.
• Beam 1: Disables all movements (except for arm up movement). All movements are
enabled once the beam is cleared.
• Beam 2: Detects the patient on the table and automatically activates Low Speed
movement. Also stops the swivel arm from lowering below the table top and prevents
arm rotation.

10 Radiographic table
Supports the patient during the exam.
