Safety instructions for PTO shaft operation
DANGER
Danger of accident
•
Check the proper attachment of
the implement, the length of the
cardan shaft and the installation
angle before switching on the PTO
shafts
•
Take care that no one is present in
the danger zone of the vehicle and
the driven attachment
•
NEVER switch on the PTO shaft
with the engine stopped. Danger
when starting!
•
Switch on the PTO shaft only at
low engine speed, then increase
speed
•
After shutting down, the attached
implement may continue to run.
Wait for it to stop before you again
work with the implement
CAUTION
Danger of breakage
The maximum bending angle per uni-
versal joint should not exceed 25

in
continuous operation and 45
0
in short-
term operation. The angle should be
approximately equal for each univer-
sal joint.
ADVICE
Secure the cardan shaft guard against
twisting by hooking in the safety
chain.
ADVICE
The PTO shaft drive is equipped with a
delay circuit. This allows a soft start-
up of the attachment.
