Non-automatic trailer hitch
Hitching trailers
Position the trailer hitch at the same height as the
drawbar of the trailer.
1. For adjustment, pull up lever (1) and adjust
trailer hitch (4) in the rail (2) to the specified
height.
2. Release the lever (1) and ensure that the pins
snap into the rail (2).
3. Press the safety (3) downward and pull the
one-hand plug (5) out of the hitch (4).
4. Drive the vehicle with the coupling jaw
against the trailer drawbar.
5. Reintroduce the one hand plug (5) and lock it.
6. For overrun-braked trailers, hook in the catch
rope.
7. Connect the 7-pole plug for the trailer lighting
to the socket (6).
8. Remove the roll-away protector from the trail-
er.
9. Release handbrake on the trailer.
10.Check the functioning of the lighting and the
brakes.
