Trailer hitch with ball head
Hitching the trailer
1. Drive with the vehicle in front of the trailer
until the ball head counterpart on the drawbar
is located above the trailer hitch (1).
2. Lower the drawbar of the trailer sufficiently
far that the ball head coupling is engaged.
3. Secure ball head coupling against uninten-
tional release.
4. Raise the height adjuster of the drawbar or
remove the support until the trailer can be
moved without danger.
5. For overrun-braked trailers, hook in the catch
rope.
6. Connect the 7-pole plug for the trailer lighting
to the socket .
7. Remove the roll-away protector from the trail-
er.
8. Release handbrake on the trailer.
9. Check the functioning of the lighting and the
brakes.
