Recommissioning after the shutdown
If the vehicle was shut down for longer than six
months, it must be carefully checked before being
put back into service. Similarly to a TÜV test, the
test should also cover all safety-critical points of
the vehicle.
1. Clean vehicle thoroughly.
2. Lubricate vehicle.
3. Check condition and acid density of the bat-
tery; recharge if necessary.
Reversing engine preservation
1. Remove plugs from the intake opening and
the exhaust opening.
2. Drain corrosion-protection oil and rinse oil
pan with motor oil.

Pay attention to handling of fluids
and lubricants
For further procedure see the section on changing
oil.
Putting the vehicle into operation
1. Check hydraulic oil for condensation water
and replace if necessary.
2. Perform maintenance work as before initial
operation.
3. Fuel vehicle.
4. Replace brake fluid.
5. Start up vehicle.
Check the following in particular during start-
up:
1. Leakage of the servopumps and wheel motors
2. Vehicle hydraulics, shifting, steering
3. Brake (service brake, parking brake), working
hydraulics, functions and working movements
If the vehicle is to be shut down even longer, please
consult your Holder customer service for additional
measures.
