Cleaning the air filter system
It is necessary to maintain the filter cartridge when
the filter no longer passes air due to contamination.
This is indicated by the sounding of a signal tone.
1. Open the 3 clamps of the air filter cover (1).
2. Remove the filter cartridge (2).
3. Clean filter cartridge and remove dust de-
posits with compressed air (max. 5 bar) from
the inside.
4. Clean air filter housing.
5. Replace air filter element with a new filter el-
ement after no more than 6 cleanings.
ADVICE
•
Do not pound the filter element
•
Do not wash filter
•
DO NOT remove carbon residues
and oil deposits with compressed
air
•
Replaced damaged filter elements,
do not reinstall them
•
Do not operate engine without fil-
ter cartridge
•
Check all sealing and filtering ele-
ments for damage before refitting
and monitor them
