away and unauthorised use (parking brake,
wedges), shut off engine, remove ignition key
and lock cab.
10.External electrical loads such as devices with
solenoids must be secured against reverse
currents with diodes before being switched
on. Otherwise the vehicle electronics may be
affected.
11.Only put equipment into operation if all pro-
tective equipment is mounted and in the pro-
tective position.
12.Install and remove cardan shafts only with
the engine switched off.
13.When equipment with a cardan shaft is be-
ing operated, no one may be near the cardan
shaft.
14.Mount guards for the cardan shaft and the
PTO shafts according to specification.
15.If the cardan shaft is removed, again cover
the PTO shaft with a protective cap.
16.Carrying out welding, sawing and grinding
work on safety-critical parts such as the vehi-
cle frame, axles, trailer hitch etc. is forbidden.
17.For welding work, disconnect the battery and
all terminal plugs from the electrical and elec-
tronics units. Welding work may only be done
by persons who are trained for it.
18.Installing tyres requires sufficient knowledge
and specified installation tools.
19.Use only original Holder spare parts! Use
parts from the maintenance part lists in the
"Maintenance data" chapter.
20.Before initial operation and after maintenance
or repair, the vehicle and the attachment
must be inspected for traffic and operational
safety.
21.Only allow the brakes and brake linings to be
checked and repaired by an authorized spe-
cialist company.
