9.4.4 Replacing Battery for Memory Backup
This machine uses a lithium battery as a backup battery for saving preset settings.
However, when power is not supplied to the machine for an extended period of time, battery voltage can
weaken and preset settings can be lost. Although there is a machine function that detects low battery
voltage, should the battery reach the level where low battery voltage is detected, important preset settings
can be lost. We recommend periodic battery replacement to protect against the loss of preset settings.

• Contact your nearest Ishida representative or the Ishida Service Center for
replacing battery for memory backup.
Battery Voltage Check
This machine automatically checks battery voltage each time electricity is supplied. When the battery
is low while electricity is supplied, the message "undergoing preset data check"will appear. After data
check is completed, the following message will be displayed.

Consider the following two possibilities as a cause of low battery.
1. Battery voltage is low due to inactivity over an extended period of time.
In this case, recharge the battery for over 8 hours.
2. End of the battery life has been reached.
Contact your nearest Ishida representative or the Ishida Service Center for replacing battery for
memory backup.
Cause of Low Battery Voltage Message.
Use the following guidelines to determine the cause of the low battery voltage message.
1. After"battery low" is displayed, recharge the machine for over eight hours.
2. After recharging battery, turn OFF the machine.
3. Quickly turn ON the machine.
→ Should the low battery voltage message appear again, it can be assumed that the cause was due to
the end of battery life. Contact your nearest Ishida representative or the Ishida Service Center for
replacing battery for memory back up.
→Should the low battery voltage message not reappear, it can be assumed that the battery is recharged
after 8 hours and the battery does not need replacing.

* Recharge
* Leave Connected Over 8 Hours.
* Press [EXIT] key.
