10.2 Error Message Handling
When an error occurs, the message will appear on the display screen of the RCU.
If the message is displayed, follow this procedure.
1. Press .
2. Carry out the countermeasure recommended below.
3. Press to restart operation.

Error Message Causes Countermeasures
Zero Error
Occurs when the weigh data during
zero adjustment is outside the zero
adjustment range.
Something is on or making contact
with the weigh conveyor.
Remove any object which is on or contacting
the weigh conveyor and perform zero
adjustment again. [See 5.5.1 Zero
Adjustment]
Span Error
Occurs when the weigh data during
span adjustment is outside the span
adjustment range.
Zero adjustment is off by a wide
margin.
Perform zero adjustment then perform span
adjustment. [See 5.6.3 Span Adjustment]
Span weight is incorrect. Make sure the span weight is the same as the
displayed span weight and perform span
adjustment again. [See5.6.3 Span Adjustment
]
Span weight is not positioned
correctly on the weigh conveyor.
Position the span weight in the center of the
weigh conveyor and perform span adjustment
again. [See 5.6.3 Span Adjustment]
Another object is on or making
contact with the weigh conveyor.
Remove any object which is on or contacting
the weigh conveyor and perform zero
adjustment again. [See5.5.1 Zero Adjustment]
Photoelectric Switch Error
Occurs during production if the light
interrupt interval of the photoelectric
switch is longer than the prescribed
time.
Sender and receptor photo elements
are not properly aligned.
Adjust the alignment of the photo cells.
An object is blocking the light
between the sender and receptor photo
elements.
Check for interference and remove any
obstructions.

Right Rejector Error
Occurs when the right rejector
mechanism is functioning
abnormally.
Product or other object is caught
against the right rejector arm.
Check the rejector and remove any
obstructions.
Rejector setting is incorrect. Set correct value. [See8.4.1 Span Adjustment
Print]
Left Rejector Error
Occurs when the left rejector
mechanism is functioning
abnormally.
Product or other object is caught
against the left rejector arm.
Check the rejector and remove any
obstructions.
Rejector setting is incorrect. Set correct value. [See 8.4.1 Span Adjustment
Print]
