PROBLEM 12
Front or rear load drum will not reach maximum speed.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Partial control from handle to PC. Partial control voltage
from PC to pump EDC. Pump or motor is bad.
CHECKS
When moving load drum control handle fully in both directions, does diagnostic display
DRUM 1, 2, or 3 screen (bank 1) obtain 100% pump control in each direction?
Yes
No
When moving load drum handle fully in both directions, does
diagnostic display DRUM 1, 2, or 3 screen (bank 2) obtain 100%
pump control in each direction?
Repair or replace
control handle.
Check for control voltage of +2.3 volts or more and coil resistance
of 15 to 19 ohms at pump EDC. (See Test 4—Testing the Pump
EDC and Motor PCP.)

Remove plug at motor port M5 and check
orifice for obstruction. (See Test 5—Cleaning
and Adjusting the Engine RPM Transducer.)
Repair or replace coil or wiring.

Clean or replace
orifice.
Check pump and motor for
leakage. (See Test 7—Testing for
Pump and Motor Leakage.)
Repair or replace pump or motor.
