Test 17—Setting the Pump Pressure
See Figure 10-19 and Table 10-1 for the following.
To adjust the multifunction valve, perform the following
procedure.
1. Remove the protective cap from the multifunction valve
and loosen the lock nut (3).
2. Insert a hex wrench into the desired multifunction valve
adjusting screw.
Turning the adjusting screw clockwise will increase the
relief pressure.
Turning the adjusting screw counterclockwise will
decrease the relief pressure.
NOTE: The bypass hex nut (4) is for special applications
only and must not be rotated during setting of pump
pressure without first consulting the pump
manufacturer literature.
