WARNING
Topreventpropertydamage,personalinjury,and/ordeath,neverdrivethevehicleunlessthewindshieldandallotherwindows
areclear.Afogged,ice/snowcovered,ordirtywindshieldorwindowlimitsvision,whichcouldcauseanaccident.Toimprove
defrosterefciency,removeiceand/orsnowbyhandfromthewindshieldandwindowswithanon-metallicscraper.
CAUTION
Topreventpropertydamageandtoclearsystemofhumidair,operateblowersfor30secondsathighspeed,withtheAIRFLOW
/AIRCONDITIONERknobonthenormalheatingpositionbeforeselectingtheDEFposition.Thiswillpreventfoggingtheglass,
whichcanoccurifhumidairisblownontoacoolwindshield.
NOTE:Thevehiclemaybeequippedwithheatershutoffvalve(s)topreventhotcoolantfromcirculatingthroughtheheatercore(s).Closing
thevalve(s)duringhotweatheroperationwillimproveA/Csystemperformance.Ifthevalvesareshutoff,in-cabtemperatureadjustment
maybecomelimited.Inaddition,whenshutoffvalvesareclosed,defrosterswillproduceonlycoldair.

37FanSpeedControlUsethiscontroltoregulatetheamountofairprovidedtotheventsinanymodeyouselect.Turn
theknobclockwisetoincreasefanspeed.Turningthecontroltothe“OFF”positionwillshutoff
thefanbutdoesnotpreventoutsideairfromenteringthevehicle.OnvehiclesequippedwithA/C,
movingthemodeknobtothe“MAXA/C”positionwillclosethefreshairdooreliminatingoutside
airfromenteringthevehicle.TurningoffthefanspeedcontrolalsoturnsofftheA/Ccompressor.
38TemperatureControlUsethiscontroltoregulatethetemperatureoftheairdischargedfromthevents.Theblueareaof
thecontrolindicatescoolertemperatureswhiletheredareaindicateswarmertemperatures.
