TheUnitedStatesEnvironmentalProtectionAgencyadopted
newheavy-dutyGreenhouseGas(GHG)vehicleregulationson
15September2011.ThisvehiclemaybecertiedtotheGHG
regulations.Forcertiedvehicles,additionalGHGemissions
controlsystemwarrantycoverscertainvehiclecomponents.
ThisSupplementalGHGFederalEmissionControlSystem
Warrantycoverageforthesevehiclecomponentswillbe
managedaccordingtocurrentFederalEmissionControlSystem
Warrantyprocess.TheGHGemissioncontrolsystemwarranty
appliestothebelowlistedvehiclecomponentssuchthatthey
meetthefollowingtwoconditions:
1.Thevehicleand/orGHGemissioncontrolsystem
componentisdesigned,built,andequippedsoit
conformsatthetimeofsaletotheultimatepurchaser
withtherequirementsoftheGHGregulationsandsuch
componentisanemissioncontrolandappearsonthe
GHGvehicleemissioncerticationlabel,and
2.Thevehicleand/orGHGemissioncontrolsystem
componentisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipthatcausethevehicletofailtoconform
totheGHGrequirementsduringtheapplicable
supplementalwarrantyperiod.
GHGEmissionControlSystemWarrantyPeriod
TheGHGemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyperiodbeginson
thedatethenewGHGcertiedvehicleisdeliveredtoyou.
Theperiodofcoverageisthegreaterofthebasemechanical
warrantyor:
•Five(5)yearsor50,000miles,whichevercomesrst,
forspark-ignitionandlightheavy-dutydieselvehicleswith
GVWRbelow19,500pounds.
•Five(5)yearsor100,000miles,whichevercomesrst,
formediumandheavyheavy-dutyvehicleswithGVWR
equaltoorgreaterthan19,500pounds.
•Two(2)yearsor24,000miles,whichevercomesrst,for
tires.
