SteeringColumnandSwitches
Thesteeringcolumncontainsswitchesandleverstoaidinthe
comfortoftheoperatorandtoassisttheoperatorwhiledriving
thevehicle.
1.TiltingandTelescopingAdjustmentLever-Allowsthe
steeringwheelplacementtobeadjustedfordrivercomfort.Push
downtoadjust,pulluptolock.
2.HazardWarningSwitch-Redrockerswitchlocatedabove
multipurposeturnsignallever.Pushswitchtoforwardpositionto
activate.Thehazardwarningasherwilloperatewiththeignition
switchintheONorOFFposition.Usethewarningsystemany
timeyourvehiclebecomesatrafchazard,dayornight.Push
switchrearwardtodeactivate.
StopOverrideHazard(Optional)-Whenhazardlightsare
activatedandthebrakepedalisdepressed,allhazard/turn
signallightsonthefront,sidelightsofthetruck,andtheside
trailerlightswillcontinuetoash.Therearlightsofthetruckor
tractorwillburnsteadilyuntilthebrakeisreleased.
3.TrailerBrakeLever-Thisleverisusedtoapplyandrelease
thebrakestothetrailer.
Multi-functionSwitch-Themulti-functionturnsignalswitch
ismountedontheleftsideofthesteeringcolumnbelowthe
steeringwheel.
4.SignalingForATurn-Whensignalingyourintentiontomake
aturn,movetheturnsignalleverupordowntothe“fullturn”
positionwhichispastthepointofresistance.Theswitchdoes
notautomaticallycancelandwillrequiremanualcancellation.
LaneChange–Theturnsignalleverincludesa“lanechange”
featurewhichallowstheoperatortosignaltheintentionto
changelaneswithoutlockingtheswitchintothefullturnposition.
Tousethisfeature,moveturnsignalleverupordowntothe
pointwhereresistancetomovementisfelt.Theturnsignallever
willreturntotheoffpositionwhenreleased.
5.WindshieldWiper-Theelectricwiperhastwospeeds
(HI-LO),whichcanbeoperatedbyrotatingtheWASHER/
WIPERknob.Theoptionalintermittentcontrolprovidesve
wiperon/offcycleintervals,varyingfrom2to14seconds.This
isdonebyrotatingthewipercontrolfromthewiperOFFposition
totheanyoftheveintermittentwiperintervalpositions.
