aredesignedwithaparticularwiregaugetomeet
thefuseandcircuitbreakercurrentrating.
Vehicleelectricalsystemsarecomplexandofteninclude
electroniccomponents,suchasengineandtransmission
controls,instrumentpanels,andantilockbrakes.Whilemost
systemsstilloperateonbatteryvoltage(12volts),some
systemscanbeashighas90voltsoraslowas5volts.
RefertotheElectricalCircuitDiagrammanuals,availablefrom
yourInternationaldealer,toensurethatanybodylightsand
accessoriesareconnectedtocircuitsthatarebothappropriate
andnotoverloaded.Nomodicationshouldbemadetoany
vehiclecontrolsystemwithoutrstcontactingyourInternational
dealer.
FusesandRelays
Fusesandrelaysarelocatedinsidethecabwithinthefuse
panelcover.Refertotheschematiclocatedonthefuse
panelcoverinthecab,theschematiconthefusecoverin
theluggagecompartment,ortheFusePanelSchematic
locatedinSECTION8—MAINTENANCEINTERVALSAND
SPECIFICATIONSofthismanualforfuseorrelayreplacement.

informationpertainingtoyourengine,refertotheEngine
OperationandMaintenanceManualprovidedwiththe
vehicle.
Foreffectiveemissioncontrolandlowoperatingcost,itis
importantthatmaintenanceoperationsbeperformedatthe
speciedperiodsormileageintervalsindicatedintheEngine
OperationandMaintenanceManual.
Serviceintervalsarebasedonaverageoperatingconditions.In
certainenvironmentsandlocations,morefrequentservicingwill
berequired.
Therequiredmaintenanceoperationsmaybeperformedata
serviceestablishment.Anyreplacementpartsusedforrequired
maintenanceservicesorrepairsshouldbegenuineOEMservice
parts.Useofinferiorreplacementpartshindersoperationof
engineandemissioncontrolsandcanreduceenginelifeand
/orjeopardizethewarranty.
Receiptscoveringtheperformanceofregularmaintenance
shouldberetainedintheeventquestionsariseconcerning
maintenance.Thereceiptsshouldbetransferredtoeach
subsequentowneroftheengine(vehicle).
