surfaces,usethefollowingprocedure.
NOTE:Toavoidpinching,donotliftorlowerthehoodfrom
theside.
1.Beforeopeningthehoodmakesurethatthereisenough
roominfrontofthevehicleforthehoodtoopencompletely
withoutpinningorpinchingyourselfbetweenthehoodand
anyotherstructures.
2.Releasethelatchesonbothsidesofthecowl.
3.Withbothfeetrmlyontheground,graspthehoodhandle,
pullthehoodforwardovercenter,andallowittosettleinto
theraisedposition.
4.Makecertainthatthehoodrestrainingshockisfully
extendedbeforereleasinghood.
LoweringtheHood
1.Makesurethatthehoodhasnotools,parts,orpeopleinits
pathofmotion.
2.Placebothhandsonthetopedgeofthegrille,pushthe
hoodbackwardovercenter,andallowittosettleintolowered
position.
3.Engagehoodlatchesatbothsidesofcowl.
