rst.Wrapathick,heavyclotharoundthecap.
Unscrewthecapslowlytoallowpressureto
releasefromunderthecap.Afterthepressure
hasbeenreleased,thepressurecapmaybe
removed.
1.CoolantLevel:Donotremovepressurecapunless
coolantiscool.Ensureuidlevelisbetweenthe
minimumandmaximumuidlevelrangeasmarkedon
theplastictranslucentreservoir.
2.RadiatorandChargeAirCooler:Checkforloose
mountinganddamage.Inspectconditionofallhoses
fordamage,cracks,andleaks.Inspectforforeign
materialonfaceofcoolingpackage.Carefullybrush
awaycollectedmaterialswithoutbendingcoolingnsto
maintainproperairowthroughcoolingpackage.
3.WindshieldWasherFluidLevel:Inspectthereservoir
andseethattheuidlevelisenoughtoaccomplish
theupcomingmission.SeeLubricantandSealer
Specicationschart,intheMaintenanceIntervalsand
Specicationssection,forthecorrectuidtypebefore
lling.Donotusewaterinfreezingclimates.
4.DriveBelts:Inspectallbeltsforfrays,cracks,loose
bers,orvisiblesignsofwear.Withengineoff,presson
allbeltstotestforproperbelttensionerperformance.
5.CowlVent:Ensureairinletcoverisfreeofdirtand
debris.
•AirLinesandWiring:Checkairlinesandelectricalwiring
forpropersecurity,damage,andchang.Listenfor
audibleairleaks.
•Leaks:Checkforsignsofuidpuddlesundervehicle,or
wetcomponentsintheenginecompartment.
