WARNING
Topreventpropertydamage,personalinjury,
and/ordeath,alwaysuseoccupantrestraint
systemwhenvehicleismoving.Anylocationin
thevehiclenotequippedwithaseatbelt,bunk
restraintbelts,orsleeperberthrestraintwebbing
shouldnotbeoccupiedwhenthevehicleisbeing
operated.
Twotypesofsleeperbunkoccupantrestraintsystemsare
availablewithsleeperbunkssuppliedbyNavistar,Inc.Ifthe
sleeperberthisnotprovidedwithoneofthesetwotypesof
restraintsystems,thatbunkisnotintendedtobeoccupiedwhen
thevehicleisinmotionandmustnotbeusedwhenthevehicle
isbeingoperated.Thedescriptionandrecommendedusageof
thetwoavailablerestraintsystemsforsleeperberthareasare
asfollows:
AdjustableBelts
Thistwo-beltsystemisstandardwiththesleeperlowerbunk.
Tousetheadjustablebeltsystem,thebunkoccupantshould
placeonebeltacrossthelowerbody(positionedabovethe
occupant’skneesbutbelowthehips),andtheotherbeltshould
bepositionedacrosstheupperbody(abovethehipsbut
belowtheshoulders).Slackmustberemovedfrombeltsafter
connectingthebucklebypullingthelooseendofeachbelttot
theconnectedbeltsnuglyacrosstheoccupant'sbody.
RestraintWebbingSystem
Theoptionalrestraintwebbingsystemissecuredaroundthe
bunkwithsevenbuckles.Theonlyrestraintsystemprovided
withtheoptionalupperbunkistherestraintwebbingsystem.T o
