returningthevehicletoservice.Failuretoproperlybleedthe
hydraulicsystemcanresultindegradationofpowersystem
performance.
ConsultyourInternationalTruckdealerwhoisawareofthe
properproceduresforllingandbleedingthesystem.
Thepowersteeringuidlterislocatedinsidethepowersteering
reservoir.T oremovethelter,unscrewthelargecaponthe
powersteeringreservoirandunscrewthelter.Reversethe
proceduretoinstallthenewlter.
Withtime,thelargesquare-cutreservoircapO-ringsealmay
shrinkslightly.T oassistinreinstallationofthecap,theO-ring
mayneedtobestretched.T ostretchtheO-ring,pullonitwhile
pinchingitbetweenyourthumbandnger.Itmustbelarge
enoughtostaycompletelyintheshallowgrooveinthetopedge
ofthereservoirpriortocapinstallation.Replacecrackedor
damagedO-rings.
