•Onlypersonnelwhohavehadpropertraining
andexperienceshouldmountorremovetires
fromrimsorwheels.
•Useonlyheavy-dutyrimsorapprovedrimsfor
radialtires.Itmaybenecessarytocontactyour
wheelandrimdistributortodetermineifyour
rimsareapprovedforradialtires.
•Ifatubeistobeused,makesurespecialradial
tiretubesareusedbecauseoftheincreased
exingofthesidewallsonradialtires.
•Neveruseantifreeze,silicones,or
petroleum-basedlubricantswhenmounting
radialtires.Onlyanapprovedlubricantshould
beusedasanaidformountingtires.
•Alwaysinatetiresinasafetycage.

•Donotmixstud-pilotedwheelsorfastenerswith
hub-pilotedwheelsorfasteners.Mixingwheel
typesmaycauseprematurewheelfailure.
•Donotchangefromsteelwheelsorasteel
innerandaluminumouterwheelcombination
toaluminumwheelswithoutchangingthe
mountinghardwaresincethethickeraluminum
wheelsrequirelongerstuds.Insomecases
withangenutmountingsystems,changing
thehubandstudassemblymayberequired.
Improperlymixingcomponentscouldcause
wheelorfastenerfailures.
•Donotmixforeign(notmadeinNorthAmerica)
wheelmountingpartswithdomestic(made
inNorthAmerica)parts.Manyforeignwheel
componentslooksimilarto,butarenotexactly
thesameas,domesticmadecomponents.
Mixingcomponentscancausewheelorfastener
failures.
