Scan width method
Description
The ‘Scan width method’ option allows you to select the
width that will be scanned:
Standard
: The width scanned is according to the automati-
cally sensed original width.
Non-standard
: The scan width is extended to the first
non-activated original width sensor, or to the maximum orig-
inal size.
Custom
: Custom selected width. Useful if the original is a
non-standard format. This setting will overrule the automati-
cally detected original size.

Custom scan width
Description
The ‘Custom scan width’ option allows you to select the
width that will be scanned:
Useful if the original has an arbitrary width. This setting will
overrule the automatically detected original format.
The setting is used in combination with the ‘Scan width
method’.

1 – 36 inches

Scan length method
Description
Use ‘Scan length method’, to select the length that will be
scanned.
Standard:
The scan length is determined by the automati-
cally sensed original length.
Non-standard:
The scan length extends to the first original
length sensor that is not activated or to the maximum original
size.
Custom-selected length
: Useful if the original is of a
non-standard format. This setting will overrule the automat-
ically detected original size.
