The Link light varies to indicate the current link state.
Valid Link – The light is green and steadily on. The MA-428 module adapter is ready to
operate. There should be no data loss.
No Link – The link light is not on and there should not be any data transfer.
Unstable Link – A few of the Ethernet network interface cards (NICs) in the computer
may not be able to identify the duplex mode at the other end, because of this limitation,
auto-negotiation does not always work and the module adapter defaults to half-duplex.
False Link – Even though the link is established, data loss occurs.
