REMOTE CONTROL INTERFACE
When the RFL DS-TT is installed in an IMUX 2000 multiplexer, it can be operated under local or
remote control. When under remote control, most of the module setup parameters can only be
programmed using the RS-232 remote port on the shelf Common Module. See the IMUX 2000 manual
for additional information on using the remote control interface. When settings are changed, the alarm
LED DS9 illuminates briefly while the data is being written to the EEROM.
The remote control interface for the RFL DS-TT involves two sets of codes: “P” (parameter) codes,
and “S” (status) codes and a set of four Sequence of Events Transfer Trip commands. The RFL DS-TT
reports itself as a “Type 118” module.
“P” CODES
“P” codes, when used in the parameter field on an SCL “SET” command, allow the user to set certain
parameters on the RFL DS-TT by remote control, just like setting DIP switches on a module under
local control. “P” codes also appear in the response to a “CONFIG?” query, providing a list of the
RFL DS-TT current parameter settings. A typical RFL DS-TT response to a “CONFIG?” query looks
like this:
*OK
CHANNEL CARD 3, TYPE 118
UNDER REMOTE CONTROL
SRVC = ON
P01 = 9 (B00001001)
P02 = 9 (B00001001)
P03 = 9 (B00001001)
P04 = 9 (B00001001)
P05 = 9 (B00001001)
P06 = 9 (B10011001)
P07 = 240 (B11110000)
P08 = 8 (B0001000)
P09 = 4 (B0000100)
P010 = 10 (B0001010)
P011 = 5 (B00000101)
P012 = 6 (B00000110)
P013 = 8 (B00001000)
P014 = 12 (B00001100);
There are fourteen “P” codes for the RFL DS-TT; “P1” through “P14”. Each “P”code is displayed as
a decimal number from 0 to 255, followed by its eight-digit binary equivalent in parenthesis. Table 4
lists the meaning of all “P” codes for the RFL DS-TT module.
