Notes for Table 3:
Note 1. The value entered for P01 shall be 32 - the desired Rx time slot, + 0 ( if path select
is D&IB ) or +32 ( if path select is Terminal or D&IA ). This comes about from the
way P01 is configured. Bits 1 thru 5 define the Rx time slot, and bit 6 defines Path
Select ( either D&IB ) or ( Terminal or D&IA ). For example, If the user wants the
Rx time slot to be = 24 and the path select to be D&IB, then P01 shall be set = 32 –
24 + 0 = 8. This can be entered in either decimal or binary format as shown in the
following SCL command:
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P01=8;
or
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P01=B00001000;
Note 2. The value entered for P02 shall be 32 - the desired Tx time slot. For example, if the
user wants the Tx time slot to be = 27, then P02 shall be set = 5. This can be
entered in either decimal or binary format as shown in the following SCL command:
(Note that for E1 systems, actual time slot 1 cannot be used for payload. The first
usage time slot is considered time slot 2 for the purposes of setting P01 and P02)
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P02=5;
or
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P02=B00000101;
Note 3. It is recommended that the TX and RX addresses are both set to a value other than 0 if
the addressing function is being used.
