external handset is off-hook. However, memory TX
is not possible.
1: The display stays in standby mode even when
the external handset is used, so that other people
can use the machine for memory TX operation.
Note that manual TX and RX are not possible with
this setting.

This country/area code determines the factory
settings of bit switches and RAM addresses.
However, it has no effect on the NCU parameter
settings and communication parameter RAM
addresses.
NOTE: Please be sure to keep the following in mind
when installing the optional FAX:
After changing the Bit SW setting for the
country code (System Switch 0F), do not
use the scroll key to go to the next bit
setting. Instead, turn the main power
ON/OFF to activate the country code
setting, and then go on to the next settings.
If the scroll key is used just after the country
code is set, other bits may be changed.
