Operating the pneumatic sign
al horn
The signal horn is used to warn
people against
imminent danger or to announc
e your intention
to overtake.
Depending on the application and configura-
tion, the truck is equipped with a pneumatic
signal horn.
To ensure that the signal horn sounds, the
air must be pressed out of a bellows on the
bottom plate and into the signal horn.
– Press the bellows (1) usin
g your left foot.
The signal horn sounds.
Using the driver's cab
DANGER
Risk of explosion due to static charge!
Depending on the version, non-
conductive parts (plastic parts) on
the truck must be painted using a
special antistatic paint. This paint
prevents the parts from building up
an electrostatic charge. Otherwise,
static discharge may occur, resulting
in explosions in the surrounding
atmosphere in potentially explosive
areas.
The non-conductive parts of the cab
(variant) must also be covered with
antistatic materials or coated with
antistatic paint.
– Only drive into potentially explosive
areas if the cab or fabric-covered
cab complies with explosion
protection directives.
NOTE
If the plastic parts on the truck are not equip-
ped with special antistatic paint, decal informa-
tion is attached to the non-conductive parts:
"Non-conductive parts - risk of electrostatic
charge - only clean using a damp cloth"
