4 DISPLAY AND CONTROL ELEMENTS
4.54 MHL380 D
The following maintenance work must be car-
ried out before each heating period:
â–º
Check glow plug (85/1) for burn-off and
replace if necessary.
â–º
Examine the fuel filter for clogging and
replace if necessary.
â–º
Check that electrical connections are se-
curely fastened.
â–º
Check that fuel lines and connections are
not leaking.
â–º
Check the air filter element for dirt.
If the heating does not come on, proceed as
follows:
â–º
Switch heating off.
â–º
Check fuses.
â–º
Switch heating on.
If the heating still does not function when
switched on for a third time, please contact
Eberspächer Customer Service. If you contin-
ue attempting to switch on the heating, the
system will be completely cut off and it will not
be possible to switch it back on again.
If the heating overheats:
Possible causes may be that the vents are
covered up or the suction intake grate is dirty.

Switch heating off.
â–º
Uncover vents.
â–º
Switch heating on.
Other malfunctions which cannot be remedied
by the operator must be checked and repaired
by Customer Service only.
