6. CONVENIENCE FUNCTIONS
• Emmetropia
Click the [Emmetropia] button, and the
emmetropia screen appears. This
screen explains how the eye is focused
when refraction is normal.
Click the [Far View] button. The anima-
tion explains how light is refracted in the
eye when seeing a far object. Click the
[Near View] button. The animation
explains how light is refracted in the eye
when seeing a near object.
• Myopia
Click the [Myopia] button, and the myopia
screen appears. This screen explains
the refractive error of myopia.
Click the [Corrected] button. The anima-
tion explains how the refractive error is
corrected by using a concave lens.
• Hyperopia
Click the [Hyperopia] button, and the
hyperopia screen appears. This screen
explains the refractive error of hyperopia.
Click the [Accommodated] button. The
animation explains what has happened in
the eye when the person having hypero-
pia sees an object with the uncorrected
eyes.
Click the [Corrected] button. The anima-
tion explains how the refractive error is
corrected by using a convex lens.
