9 Calibration Cotton Standards
for the HVI 900 System
Two kinds of calibration cottons can be used to calibrate Uster
Technologies’ HVI 900 System:
International Calibration Cottons (ICC)
High Volume Instrument Calibration Cottons (HVI)
The System can be calibrated with either of these two cottons according
to the following schedule.

It is extremely IMPORTANT that the Length/Strength Calibration Status
be configured to match the calibration cottons being used. This is done
by entering the correct values in the LENGTH/STRENGTH CALIBRATION
COTTON STANDARD VALUES MENU.
Note
:
The length, uniformity, and strength values of the ICC and the
HVI calibration cottons are not on the same level.
The ICC 2.5% spanlength is not the same as the HVI (USDA) length.
