The Optics and Force values, as well as the Temperature and Relative
Humidity values, are continuously updated and displayed at the bottom
of the screen.
3.6 Length/Strength Module Testing
Procedures
If test results will be sent to a printer or transmitted to a host
computer, an ID must be entered on the test screen. If the data will
not be printed or transmitted, no ID is requested.
If a micronaire value is required (via the keyboard or micronaire),
"Enter MIC:" is displayed on the screen. Enter a micronaire value
between 2.0 and 8.0, and press ENTER. If the micronaire value
has been established, use that value; if it is unknown, use the
standard value of 4.0.
If the micronaire value is to be determined via the micronaire test,
"Mic" from 8.5 to 11.5 grams of fiber. Mass:" is displayed. Weigh
the sample on the balance and then place the sample in the
chamber for the test.
If the Micronaire Value is set to
None
, the Operations options (listed
below) are displayed immediately after the ID has been entered. If
None is selected, the system default value of 4.0 is used.
The following Operation options will display after the ID and
Micronaire value (if required) have been entered.
Press ESCAPE to exit
Press <!> to reject (To reject the last test)
— Press <#> to set motors
