5 Calibrating for Micronaire
The calibration procedure for micronaire involves the regulation of
airflow through the micronaire chamber when 10.0-gram samples of
cotton with low and high micronaire values are in the chamber.
• To access the MICRONAIRE CALIBRATION MENU from the CALIBRATION
MENU, highlight the item using the arrow keys, then press ENTER.
This menu is used to check the Micronaire status and perform cotton and
air calibration. Each is discussed below.
Note: Only ICC cottons are available for micronaire calibration. Both
low and high micronaire value cottons are required for this procedure.
