PROCEDURE
1 Stop the SCR system (refer to the Operation Manual).
NOTE: The procedure that follows shows the removal of one of the SCR valves. The
procedures for the other SCR valves are the same.
2 Make sure that the SCR valve is in the closed position (refer to the documentation of the
valve supplier).
3 Close the ball valve in the control air supply pipe to the SCR system.
4 Disconnect the electrical connections from the transmitters of the related connection
pipe.
5 Remove the transmitters.
6 Put an applicable sling in position on the connection pipe.
7 Attach the sling to the hook of the engine room crane.
8 Operate the engine room crane to put a light tension on the sling.
9 Remove the hexagon nuts and the screws from the flange to the SCR system.
10 Remove the hexagon nuts and the screws from the flanges of the SCR valve.
11 Remove the screws from the SCR valve on the SCR system side.
12 Carefully operate the engine room crane to remove the connection pipe.
13 Remove the gasket.
14 Install the lifting tool to the SCR valve with the screws.
15 Torque the screws to 170 Nm.
16 If necessary, adjust the position of the lug in steps of 15°.
17 Attach the lifting tool to the engine room crane.
18 Operate the engine room crane to put a light tension on the lifting tool.
19 Remove the screws from the SCR valve on the engine side.
20 Carefully operate the engine room crane to remove the SCR valve.
21 Remove the gasket.
CLOSE UP
• If necessary, install the SCR cover, refer to the Operation Manual.
