15.1.3 Replacing the Battery

 When Using an Encoder Cable with a Battery Case
1. Turn ON only the control power supply to the SERVOPACK.
2. Open the cover of the Battery Case.
3. Remove the old Battery and mount a new Battery.
4. Close the cover of the Battery Case.
5. Turn OFF the power supply to the SERVOPACK to clear the A.830 alarm (Absolute
Encoder Battery Error).
6. Turn ON the power supply to the SERVOPACK.
7. Make sure that the alarm has been cleared and that the SERVOPACK operates normally.
If you remove the Battery or disconnect the Encoder Cable while the control power supply to
the SERVOPACK is OFF, the absolute encoder data will be lost.

Mount a Lithium Battery.
