There are two types of IO connectors: snap-in connectors for plastic fibre cables
and ST/bayonet connectors for glass fibre cables. The SLM can be equipped with
either type of connector or a combination of both connectors. This is identified by a
tag.
Connect the incoming optical fibre to the RX receiver input, and the outgoing
optical fibre to the TX transmitter output. Pay special attention to the instructions
concerning handling and connection of fibre cables.
