It is assumed that the reader is familiar with the SPA communication protocol in
general.
18.7.2 Design

Using the rear SPA port for either local or remote communication with a PC
requires the following equipment:
Optical fibres
Opto/electrical converter for the PC
PC
SPA cannot be accessed via PCM600.
When communicating between the local HMI and a PC, the only hardware required
is a front-connection cable.
SPA can be accessed via LHMI front only when using the Field
Service Tool Access (FSTACCS).
