To prohibit these protocols without affecting Internet navigation, you have to use the URL control

principle provided by the proxy (see section on proxy -> configuration) by adding an appropriate

rule to the "Control List" in the "Proxy/Cache Settings" menu.

For example, the rule "http://*\.ext" will block the consultation of links corresponding to files with

the extension ".ext".

The extensions for the main streaming applications are:

Windows Media Video: asf asx wmv wvx

Windows Media Audio: wma wax

Real Audio/Video: ra rm ram rmm rnx rv

Quicktime: qts qtx mov qt
