COST OF ISDN SERVICES
Since the costs of some facilities are not transmitted by the public network, it is possible to assign a
given value to the cost meter whenever such a service is activated.
Cost of ISDN services:
T Cost of on-line metering (in metering units) in the case of manual activation (if the network does
not add the cost of the service at the beginning of the communication).
T Cost of user to user signaling (in the chosen monetary unit, 6 digits – of which 0 to 2 are decimal).
T Cost of PABX forwarding (in the monetary unit chosen, 6 digits – of which 0 to 2 are decimal).
Example of the calculation of the cost of a communication
This example shows the effect of using the "On-line metering" and "UUS" services in terms of commu-
nication costs.
Parameters configured:
- basic metering unit value: 1.70 F
- threshold: 1 metering unit
- second basic metering unit value after threshold: 2 F
- cost of on-line metering: 4 metering units
- cost of UUS: 5.10 F
Example of a statement:
The 8 metering units are made up as follows:
- 1 metering unit for the call; cost = 1.70 F
- 4 metering units for activation of the on-line metering; cost = 7.70 F (1 x 1.70 F + 3 x 2 F)
- 3 metering units for UUS (number of metering units =UUS/first basic metering unit value cost, i.e.
5.10/1.70 = 3); cost = 5.10 F
