Cleaning the Optical Fiber Cable Ferrule End Surface
Use an approved ferrule cleaner to clean the optical fiber cable ferrule end
surface. Although the following procedures use the FC connector and
adapter as an example, use the same methods when cleaning other
connector and adapter types.
1. Pull the ferrule cleaner lever to expose the cleaning surface.
2. Hold the lever in the opened position, press the optical connector
ferrule end into the cleaning surface, and then rub in one direction as
shown in the following figure.
