3.2.1.7 PSC Paging Console
The PSC microphone console is an unidirectional condenser addressable microphone which is
compatible with all Ateis audio processor. Up to 32 x PSC units can be connected using the daisy-
chain wiring via RS485 protocol, and support up to 300M over a single CAT5 cable connection, PSC
transmits both audio data and power supply to system units.
The PSC comprises of 8 zones/8 buttons with sleek condenser gooseneck microphone, and spring
metal protection, providing durability and excellent aesthetics as well as enhancing up to 256 zones
expansion via the additional keypad. The control buttons represent a single zone or a group of zones
and are easily defined via the GUI of the system units using a simple matrix selection. All buttons
can be pre-programmed from the Ateis Studio and each button can be programmed for Push To Talk
function or Latch functionality. The unit offers “Hold” and “Busy” LED signals in addition to the zone
LED’s, and these features allow an easy identification of Selection/Busy signals for users.
3.2.1.7.1 Control Panel
Microphone:
The sleek unidirectional condenser gooseneck microphone which warrants high quality directive
signal pick up.
Monitoring Speaker:
This embedded speaker to play chime when paging or monitor signal from audio processor, it
needs to work with RS485 output component to get audio signal from other DSP components in
audio processor.
