Watt: Display the current watt value of connected speakers.
Voltage: Select the current voltage which connects to the amplifier.
[18K or 20K Zone]/[1K Tone]: Choose to display window based on your tone setting. Please
refer to [Frequency] option on Tone Settings chapter.
Faults:
Line A/B Open: If the value of Measure (ohm) is greater than 4000 ohm, this fault can be
recognized by the IDA8C/S. The field of [Measure(ohm)] shows "OPEN". Please see the example
of Zone 1 from the picture above.
Line A/B Bad Impedance: If the value of Measure (ohm) is greater than Reference A&B (ohm) +
Tolerance (%), or value of Measure (ohm) is less than Reference A&B (ohm) - Tolerance (%), this
fault can be recognized by the IDA8C/S. The field of [Diff(%)] shows the percentage of difference.
In the figure above, the difference in percentage of zone 3 is 53.247 which is greater than the
tolerance of 25%. A Line A/B bad impedance is then recognized.
Line A/B Short: The voltage of pin +, - is monitored by the IDA8C/S, if the voltage is zero. This
means there is a short circuit outside the IDA8C/S. If this fault is detected, the internal relay of a
zone will be open to stop the audio signals to the speaker. The user needs to perform a Reset
Monitoring as described in the preview part of this topic in order to switch the status back. Please
see the example of Zone 2, which indicates "S.C." on the field [Measure(ohm)].
5.7.2.3 Amplifier Monitoring
Settings:
First, in Ateis Studio, right click
the IDA8C-SW icon.
When the window [Monitoring(Switch Mode)-IDA8CSW/ X ] appears, select the [Amplifier Gain
Setting] page.
