4.12.3 Parallel with Multiple Devices
The Parallel Mode of PPM-AS cables wiring allows each PPM-AS to connect to individual PPM JB
junction box to paging, operate separately. See the wiring example below.
4.12.4 Connect with PSS-AS
When users intend to operate the PSS-AS device on IDA8C processor with a remote length, please
use the PPM JB junction box for transmitting audio and external power supply. See the wiring
example below.
Connection with a distance of 300M:
1. Connect to the PDC port of IDA8 on [RS-485 MAIN-IN + AUDIO OUT], see the blue line in
[Picture 1].
2. Connect to the PSS-AS device on [SLAVE PPM] port], see the gray line in [Picture].
3. Switch the power selection to [EXT PWR] on the [Power Switch].
4. Remember to switch to [Slave] on Master/Slave Switch correctly, otherwise the PSS-AS
cannot be identified in Ateis Studio software. Please see [Picture 2].
