Cascade:
If the application uses multiple IDA8s and connects using the fiber-optic as a transmitting media
for Ateis Net, the additional wiring for Bypass Mode Paging cascade must be used. See the
picture below:
4.6 Volume Control Remote Override
Volume override relay contacts shall be provided for each zone separately for overriding local
loudspeaker volume controls. The VCT25R Volume Control Remote supports (2-wire, 3-wire and dual
amplifier sound restoration i.e. standard 24V). Upon a call or an activated trigger input, these
contacts shall be activated for the appropriate 8 zones of IDA8 controller.
VCT25R is an volume control device (25W/80W) with 10-step attenuation separately. Volume
restoration levels can be pre-set, decreasing in 3dB steps (either -3dB or -6dB) to an OFF (0dB) with
non-stop selector giving a smooth variation in output level. Providing volume control with a wide
frequency response of 40Hz - 20 kHz. The paging levels can be restored and be adjusted to suit the
environment like a noisy warehouse or a quiet office.
Wiring:
The figure below shows the ''2-wire'' volume restoration of connecting the VCT25R Volume
Control Remote on IDA8 system.
It supports up to maximum 8 x VCT25R devices to connect to 1x IDA8 controller.
Please note that the power consumption for running 1x relay is 8.3mA @24Vdc.
