Music Input Connector:
There are two music input channels of CDPM. Users can select one of them by pressing music
selection button.
Talk Indicator:
This LED lights up if PCP is allowed to paging, on the other word, the paging request has been
acknowledged.
Sometime after paging request is granted, zones under paging still can be occupied by other
sources. In such a case, the talk LED still light up, but you can check busy LED to know the
situation.
Talk Button:
Press this button to request paging. There are two modes for this button: push to talk and lock.
All Call/Release Button:
This button is used for selecting or deselecting all keys.
All Call/Release Indicator:
This indicator lights up if all keys are selected.
Busy Indicator (1~8):
Show the status of zone:
Priority of the zone is lower than other sources.
Priority of the zone is higher than other sources.
The zone only desired for paging is not using by other
sources.
Hold Indicator (1~8):
These LEDs Indicate which keys are selected.
Event Select Key (1~8):
These buttons are used to select keys, each key may link to an event for triggering actions like
paging or adjust the value of parameters.
3.2.1.9.2 Configuration
3.2.1.9.2.1 Single Port
Please refer to PPM AS Configuration to know more about the configuration of single port on
CDPM and PPM AS.
3.2.1.9.2.2 Dual Port
The purpose of dual port is using the RS485 (PDC port on IDA8) to fulfill the redundant loop in
case of any failure with the cable connection. When detecting the failure of cable connection on
one of the PDC port, the system will automatically switch to the redundant dual port. If both cable
connection have failed, the IDA8 system will then report [Remote Offline] fault.
The wiring of PDC dual ports can only be done by connected to the correct PDC ports, see as
below,
Connect the CDPM to PDC 1 port and PDC 2 port.
Connect the CDPM to PDC 3 port and PDC 4 port (IDA8C only).
