Auto zero
This function adjusts the owmeter so that the measured ow rate is zero when the
uid is in static condition inside the detector.
CAUTION
Before operating the owmeter for the rst time, be sure to carry out auto zero.
Zero adjustment is very important for accurate ow measurement.
CAUTION
Before performing auto zero calibration of the owmeter, make sure the detector
is properly grounded (grounding resistance must be less than 100 W), that the
detector is lled with the uid to be measured and that the uid is in static
condition. Zero adjustment is possible with a ow speed of 0.2 m/s (0.656 ft./s)
or less, but the ow speed should be 0.0 m/s (0.0 ft./s) for accurate adjustment.
Output errors can result from improper zeroing.
If the conditions above can not be guaranteed the auto zero function should be
ignored.

through the screens until the
AUTO ZERO screen appears.

READY
Touch the key once to move
the cursor to READY to indicate
that the system is ready for
zeroing.

AUTO ZERO
ON
Touch the key once to
select READY and start the
auto zero adjustment. The
large numerical display ashes
and READY changes to ON
during adjustment. When the
zero adjustment is complete,
the ashing stops and ON
changes back to READY. Zero
adjustment takes approximately
60 to 100 seconds.
