2. General
Cooling requirements
For f unctionality and re liability, the projector requires acc urate temperature control and cooling. T herefore a liquid c ooling system is
provided consisting of liquid circuits inside the projector which are connected via hoses to external coolers. Only coolers and hoses
exclusively developed for t his application and approved by Barco are allowed to be used.
Main Power requirements
Depending the m odel, the DPxK B LP series projector operates from a single-phase po wer net or three-phase power net.

The power c ord required to connect the projector w ith the power net is not delivered with the projector. It is the responsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of power cord.
The cross-sectional area of the conductors in the power s upply cord shall n ot be less than 4 mm ² or 10 AWG .
In single-phase operation, the power cord must be rated for minimum 300V.
In three-phase operation, the power cord must be rated for minimum 300V in case of a 3 W+P E (208V ) power system, and mini-
mum 500V in c ase of a 3W+N+PE (230/400V) power system. Fo r a 3W +PE system, 208V is measured between the lines. Fo r a
3W+N+PE system, 400V is m easured between the lines, 230V is m easured between the lines and the neutral.
To protect operating personnel, the N ational Electrical Manufactu
rers Association (NEMA) recommends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this pr ojector be operated without an adequate cabinet ground connection.
The AC supply must be installed by a qua lified e lectrician in conformance to local codes. Hardware, wire sizes and conduit types
must comply with local codes.
A readily accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated externally to the equipment for rem oval of the power to the equipment
mains terminals.
The building installation must be provided with a circuit breaker of max. 40A to p rotect the complete unit.
Exhaust outlet for external fan
The exhaust outlet has an output voltage of 200–240V at 50–60 Hz ; switched and m axim um 3 amperes is allowed.

The connection between the exhaus t outlet and the ex ternal blower must be done with a certified AC power supp ly co rd of minimum
0,75 mm² or 18 AWG and m inimum 300V.
Projector weight
Do not underestimate the weight of
the Barco DPxK BLP-series projector.
The projector weights are without lens and without cooler. Be sure that the pedestal on w hich the projector has to be installed is
capable of handling the complete load of the system.
